Open Window

Open Window is the experimental ambient project started by Peter Grier in 2016. Tape loops and samples are made from chance improvisations of Peter’s home recordings resulting in soothing ambience, drone and beat driven experimental music. Sometimes vocals are present, sometimes not. You never know what will blow in from an open window.

Ursa

Ursa is the solo ambient electronic project of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan artist, Lenore Maier. Her works sway between drone and dream, somewhere between sound effect and musical sound. Her music has been described by others as meditative, dark  and lucid. Her works have a heartbeat that navigate effortlessly through the spectrum of tempo, like the sound of ghosts beaming through liminal space and time. She incorporates double exposure found footage visuals into her performances and she draws heavy influence from artists such as Kiasmos, Boards of Canada, múm, The Field, and Lali Puna.

PRINCESS DASHA

Coming to you live from beyond the official broadcast band, PRINCESS DASHA is the fm radio live-sampling project of Winnipeg-based artist Dasha Plett. Drawing on traditions and techniques of ghost-channeling, plunderphonics, and illegal leftist radio transmissions, PRINCESS DASHA re-dj’s the radio, bringing you high-femme glossolalias conjured from the dying light of daytime fm itself. Radio pirate, genre mystic, top-40 bottom-feeder, PRINCESS DASHA is scanning the waves and as far as the eye can see it’s EIGHTIES, NINETIES, WHATEVER, FOREVER. Alongside her sound practice, Dasha is a founding member of performance collective We Quit Theatre, an award-winning composer and sound designer, and a professional audio describer.
